Mr. Richards is the lead plastic surgeon at The Private Clinic and has been a qualified doctor since 1988. Specialising in plastic for the last 12 years, he has experience within both the NHS and the private sector.
Prior to working at The Private Clinic Mr. Richards worked extensively for Stoke Mandeville NHS Trust as Consultant Plastic Surgeon. He is now responsible for multiple private clinics in premier locations throughout the UK, including Harley Street in London and Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire.
Mr. Richards is a well-known authority within the industry having received accolades such as ‘Home Counties Leading Plastic Surgeon’ (The Daily Mail) and ‘Leading UK Breast Surgeon’ (The Independent on Sunday). He has also written widely on the subject including the best-selling book ‘Keynotes on Plastic Surgery’.
Being able to offer unparalleled treatment and service is at the heart of what Mr. Richards sets out to do. This includes working closely with industry peers in order to understand the latest techniques and to improve the surgery he is able to offer his patients.
In addition to his extensive surgical work Mr. Richards founded Cosmetic Courses. Cosmetic Courses offer those wishing to enter the aesthetic industry training, guidance and support. Cosmetic Courses led an investigation in to the use of Botox for cosmetic purposes and Mr. Richards’ commitment to providing excellent cosmetic care led to him being named The Evening Standard’s ‘The Botox Expert’ as part of their Harley Street Heroes series.
Mr Richards calls the Oxfordshire countryside his home where he lives with his wife and four children. When he’s not working or spending time with his family he can be found running marathons, playing squash, making his own films or playing bass in a local band.
Mr. Richards is a member of The British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), as well as the General Medical Council (membership no. 3286812).
